Today (Thursday, December 14, 2017), the FCC is expected to vote on repealing the 2015 rules that keep net neutrality intact. By a three-to-two margin (along partisan lines), FCC commissioners are expected to issue a verdict that will have dire consequences for all net users in general, and independent filmmakers in particular.
Today's blog posts will be dedicated to what's at stake when the FCC overturns current regulations regarding net neutrality, and what may happen to independent filmmakers in their quest to have their work shown to a larger audience.
