Consider the facts: alum have gone on to create their own Nickelodeon shows and write for all sorts of TV series and films. While in the Program, writers meet our series creators, work in writers’ rooms, attend storyboard pitches, show tapings and more.

Filmmakers Without Borders supports independent filmmakers around the world via grants and other funding initiatives. Supported projects include narrative films, documentary films, and new media projects that align with themes of social justice, empowerment, and cultural exchange.

Whickers World Foundation
Each year £80,000 will be awarded to a new director with the most promising pitch for an authored documentary which fulfils the core criteria of the foundation and can be completed for screening with this award.
Moving Image Grant Funds LEF Foundation
LEF invests in documentary film and video projects that demonstrate excellence in technique, originality of vision and voice, and creativity in form.
Nextpix/Firstpix Crowdfunding Grant
Nextpix/Firstpix will fund films with a budget under $250k that are the first or second film by a director and are crowdfunding part of that budget. Rather than fund on a pre-determined cycle, we will accept queries from any film that is being crowdfunded at any point during the year.
Slamdance Writing Competition
