The Montana Film Academy (MFA) is an institution that specializes in education for youth in media arts. We accomplish this by providing real world training and hands-on experience in filmmaking. Courses in all aspects of film and video production, from development to post-production are taught in an accessible and advanced series of classes. In the process, the MFA students experience teamwork, responsibility, planning skills, and confidence. Students are provided equipment, training, and facilities though MFA to begin and complete their projects, and inspire careers in media making.
The vision of the MFA is to become an essential program in the creation and development of media artists and original content in the region. Through filmmaking classes and public screening programs we offer core curricula to teach the art of storytelling to young people and provide them with opportunities to present their work to communities both locally and globally.
