Based in New York City, Videoart.net is an international network for video artists and experimental filmmakers.
Founded in 2005 as a video-sharing website for artists and filmmakers by artist Dan Fine, Videoart.net quickly positioned itself to become the most popular video art and experimental film website in the world. Videoart.net attracts both art and film industry professionals by providing an international network with a dynamic online community. By carefully curating thousands of video artworks by hundreds of artists all over the world, Videoart.net prides itself in providing the most rousing, thought-provoking, unprecedented, and significant works in film and video currently being produced.
To further its commitment to the democratization of relationships between artists, curators, institutions, and the public worldwide, Videoart.net established the Video Art & Experimental Film Festival (VAEFF). The festival was launched in 2010 at the iconic Tribeca Cinemas, and has taken place there ever since. The fourth annual VAEFF will include a series of striking films and videos selected from hundreds of artist submissions, as well as a panel discussion led by distinguished artists, scholars and industry professionals, followed by a food and wine reception at the Tribeca Cinemas' elegant Varick Room bar.
